Plant-One-On-Me Hanging Planter

Our house sits on the edge of a moss and caramel colored mountain where the shadows create waves of texture from our bedroom deck.  We wanted to add to the element of our view with some color and fragrance.  We decided to build a planter that wasn't just any ordinary planter but an element that would add to the unique experience from our bedroom window.  By salvaging some copper flashing and pipe from a job site and some 2x6 material we conceived the idea of our planter.  Our focus was to expose the natural texture of the wood and express the distress and patina of the copper which perfectly blends in with the shades of our mountain.  We couldn't be happier with the copper and wood art piece now wrapping the railing of the deck.
